LOVE CABANATUAN | Cabanatuan City AVP for Araw ng Cabanatuan
‘Nothing worth doing is ever easy’, a philosophy from which we live by here at Martin Digital Video. And it is from this inherent philosophy and our immense devotion to our fatherland how Martin DV was conceived and unceasingly thrives to this day here in our hometown, the City of Cabanatuan.
Cabanatuan City, a first class, urban city in the province of Nueva Ecija, Philippines, is considered the commerce, industrial and educational hub of the province and was founded as Barrio of Gapan in 1750 and became a Municipality and capital of La Provincia de Nueva Ecija in 1780. However, in 1965, Congress created Palayan City, which has been the capital ever since.
“Plaza Lucero” is one of our city’s historical sites today, where a statue of Philippine hero General Antonio Luna astride a horse stands at the plaza in front of the cathedral on the exact spot where the brave general was assassinated in 1899 in the city that adopted him subsequently.
Our city is also credited for its good access to commercial banks that is why the city was ranked as one of the most livable cities in the Philippines together with Makati City in terms of banking.
To this day, Cabanatuan is a bustling home to over 259, 267 Novo Ecijanos and is considered a major hub of transportation services within the province with over 30,000 registered tricycles that roam around the city.
It is with immense honor that we were able to partake on our city’s major annual event, the ‘Araw ng Cabanatuan’ held from 1st to 3rd of February, 2010 in the heart of our city. In dedication to our beloved hometown, we have created a showcase of everything that depicts our city in all its glory, and a reflective glimpse of the quintessential Novo Ecijano. As our token of profound gratitude, we humbly present you, ‘Love Cabanatuan.’
